Lead Engineer for Cloud Computing at Apption Careers

We'd Like You To...
- Lead a small team developing a next-generation intelligent system
- Design a new product taking advantage of cloud computing technologies that include Amazon EC2, Hadoop, MapReduce, and Google AppEngine
- Develop software tools and lightweight frameworks in support of the team's development
- Work with our product manager and our initial clients to collaboratively prove out product value
- Perform code reviews and help the team maintain beautiful code
Do You Have…
- Passion (= love) for software development, computers, and programming?
- A degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related subject from a top tier Canadian or American University?
- Private sector experience in a technology startup or smaller organization within an established technology company?
- Web experience... Say 3 years experience programming experience in scalable web applications in Python / Django, Ruby on Rails (RoR), Java, or .NET?
- Leadership experience... Say 2 years experience leading a small team of developers, planning out iterative development cycles using agile methods?
- Architecture experience... A real understanding of enterprise design patterns, asynchronous messaging systems, RESTful architecture, and test-driven development?
- Distributed computing experience... Some experience using Amazon EC2, Apache Hadoop, MapReduce, or Google AppEngine?
And Would You Like To…
- Take a leadership role in designing next generation cloud computing product?
- Work with the latest technologies like Amazon EC2 and Google AppEngine?
- Work in a cohesive team of industry professionals?
- Be involved from concept planning through to product delivery?
